Mukesh Ambani registered his 7-series BMW 760Li, for Rs 1.6 crore at the Motor Vehicles Department in Mumbai. This is reportedly the highest registration fee anyone paid in India.

1. After security threats by mail, Mukesh Ambani geared up his security with a customised BMW 760Li.
2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has the same hi-tech car.
3. Mukesh Ambani’s Z-category security reportedly costs him around Rs 15 to 16 lakh per month.
4. This armoured car has reportedly been specially manufactured in Germany.
5. Mukesh Ambani’s BMW 760Li is totally bullet-proof with armour protection on the chassis and windows.
6. This BMW 7-Series weighs nearly 2.5 tonnes because of the heavy armour.
7. Their 760Li high protection complies with VR7 ballistic protection standard. It contains blast deflection kit.
8. The cabin of the car can turn into a gas-safe chamber in case of a gas attack.
9. Mukesh Ambani’s BMW is also equipped with back-up oxygen tanks in case of a gas attack.
10. Tyres are shred and puncture resistant, with steel rims underneath. Car can run on flat tyres for several kilometres.
11. This car goes from 0-100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds and the top speed is 210 km/h.
12. This is a regular BMW 760Li which costs Rs 1.9 crore on road in India.
13. Since the import duty on armoured cars is 300%, Mukesh Ambani paid nearly Rs. 8.5 crore for this car.
