The National Security Guard (NSG), also known as the Black Cats Commandos because of their black uniform, is one of India’s premier counter terrorism forces to protect country against all internal disturbances. The NSG was set up in 1984 as a Federal Contingency Deployment Force to tackle all facets of terrorism in the country.
The force took active part in Operation Black Tornado and Operation Cyclone during the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008 and were instrumental in flushing out the terrorists. And only a few select individuals get to serve in this elite force.
This video shot by Rajya Sabha TV shows highly intensive training of Black Cats Commandos. Have a glimpse at what they go through to have the privilege to wear that uniform.
