Baahubali Broke Almost Every Box Office Records for Indian Films

Well, we all were kind of expecting that Baahubali will make huge impact on box office but the overwhelming response it received worldwide, was unexpected. Baahubali broke almost every box office records for fastest earning movie in India. Previously movies like PK, Chennai Express and 3 Idiots held the crown but Baahubali, a south Indian blockbuster by S. S. Rajamouli, took the crown and has become the biggest opener of all time. It has also crossed the Rs 200-crore mark worldwide in just five days since its release on July 10, setting another new box office record along with fastest earning weekend box office records.

This two-part epic film, Baahubali is about a war between two brothers for an ancient kingdom. It features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles. Baahubali – The Beginning released in four languages – Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi – simultaneously, and it has surprisingly performed extremely well in all these languages.

The film has emerged as the biggest hit overseas, surpassing even Bollywood blockbusters such as Happy New Year and PK in its opening weekend.
